Gelbo Flex Tester with Particle Counting Chamber Model No: G0005

The Gelbo Flex Tester with Particle Counting Chamber consists of two 82.8mm diameter mandrels, one fixed and the other attached to a moveable arm to perform the flexing action. The moveable mandrel twists and compresses the sample at 60 cycles per min of 180° rotation over 120mm of stroke toward and away from the fixed mandrel. This instrument is used to measure linting of woven and nonwoven fabrics, and pinholing / delaminations of plastics and films.

The value of crease stiffness is technically important in the folding of carton blanks during their erection and closure. Whether this is by hand or by mechanical means. The crease recovery (spring back) can result in forces, which distort the erected carton or cause stresses to be applied to closures, which reduce their effectiveness

Box Compression Tester Model Number: B0003

The Box Compression Tester is a floor-mounted machine where a complete pallet can be loaded into the machine. It is designed to evaluate packages and material under compressive loads. Two platens are supplied with the machine as standard, a 800 x 800 x 50mm and a floating aluminium platen 1220 x 1220 x 50mm. The floating platen can be removed and put aside if smaller items are tested constantly. The Box Compression Tester uses a hydraulic cylinder and servo system to apply a precise linear

This machine is used to form test flutes in medium in preparation for crush tests. The temperature is maintained at a constant 175°C. One roller is motor driven at 4 r/min. while the other is free to rotate with a minimum of friction or other resistance.

The Ink Rub Tester is designed to determine the quality of adhesion, and scuff resistance of ink to paper surfaces. The motorised unit is simple to operate by entering the number of rubs in the pre-set counter and starting the unit. It will rub the sample until the pre-set value is achieved.

The Precision Drop Tester has an open construction arrangement which does not restrict the test sample geometry. The Drop Tester lifts the pads to the test height saving the operator from injury.

Cobb Moisture Absorption Test Rings & Rollers: C0005 & C0006

This method for measuring water absorption of sizedpapers are used all over the world. A dry test piece of suitable paper is placed under the cylinder. The 100ml of water poured over the test piece. After a specified time the water is poured off and the test piece is placed on standardized blotting paper. Another blotting paper is placed on top of the test piece and the excess water is removed by means of the roller. The test piece is then weighed again and the results are calculated and reported as absorptiveness in grams per m2, according to the standard method.  
 



 

Flat Crush Test Fixture Model No: F0011

The flat crush test evalutes the resistance of flutes in corrugated board to a crushing force applied perpendicular to the surface of the board. Low flat crush values may reflect poor formation of the corrugations, substandard materials, or damage to the corrugations after thay are formed.
