The Mini is an affordable machine, which will suit occasional users and those, who need a Martindale for development work or production control. The Mini has a powerful drive system to overcome the high levels of friction, which are generated, when rubbing, for example, rubber gloves against glass paper. The drive makes the machine suitable for a variety of simlar applications.  
 



 

The Nu-Martindale 864 is the latest innovation in Martindale Abrasion Testers from James H. Heal & Company. The instrument can be ordered as an eight, six or four station instrument. If ordered as a four or six station the 864 can be upgraded at any time to an eight station by simply ordering the up grade kits.  
 



 

The Martindale Abrasion Tester is used to determin the wear resistance of a woven or nonwoven fabric.  
 



 

The Impulse is a Random Tumble Pilling Tester designed to comply with Part 3 of ISO 12945. Incorporating the requirements of ASTM D3512, Part 3 of ISO 12945 follows the Pilling Box and Modified Martindale Method.  
 



 

Orbitor can be used to test both woven and knitted materials. It complies in full with the requirements of EN ISO 12945-1 ‘Textiles - Determination of fabric propensity to surface fuzzing and to pilling – Part 1: Pilling Box Method.’ This standard supersedes BS 5811, which is now withdrawn. In addition to Orbitor, HEALS offer Nu-Martindale and Impulse to fulfil the requirements of Parts 2 and 3 of EN ISO 12945.  
 



 

The Tetrapod tester tests the mechanical action on surface texture of textile carpet. A cylindrical drum, lined with specimens and containing the tetrapod, is rotated the required number of times so that the tetrapod ‘walks’ over the specimens.
